Partner Organization Requirements

This sign-up page and requirements apply only to the Data Management, Web Site, Voice Mail, Email, and Domain Name services, and not the Pet Adoption Portal. Please sign-up for the Portal on the Portal web site.

RescueGroups is interested in developing partnerships with reputable animal rescue organizations which meet the following requirements:
  • must be in the business of preventing or rescuing homeless animals

  • must be a 501(c)(3), or in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status

  • must not promote the sale of animals through "puppy mills," irresponsible breeding, or pet stores

  • must have documented spay/neuter rules

  • must have a public education program/information to promote spay/neuter and humane education

Sign Up for a RescueGroups Site

New organizations will receive a free 3-month trial (web site service only, does not include the voice mail service). We will ask for a donation to cover service starting on your fourth month.

Answer the following questions only if you are ordering our web site or data management service.

Service:
You have the option to apply for sponsorship. The free Sponsorship Service is for smaller 501(c)(3) organizations that cannot afford the $75-$100/year data management or web site service fee. You must submit an additional application and be approved by our Board of Directors before the fee is waived.

You must own a domain name to use our email services, although you are not required to have the domain name registered through us.

Every organization receives a RescueGroups URL with their service (hostname.rescuegroups.org). You also have the option to register a domain name (www.hostname.org), or to transfer your existing domain name. Please provide in the box above, just the hostname that you would like to use, or the hostname part of your domain name, as shown in the previous examples.
