System Upgrade Status

RescueGroups.org has a maintenance window schedule for Monday Febuary 21st at 12:01 AM (midnight) until Monday at noon (eastern).  We do not expect the maintenance to take the entire window.

We will update this web page throughout the upgrade to let you know how it's going, and to set your expectations concerning when our services will be online.

Update 2/21/11 2:00 PM (eastern):

We are troubleshooting an issue that is preventing some people from accessing their RescueGroups.org website.  We will provide addiitonal information when it is available.

We're getting ready to being the system upgrade in about 15 minutes.  We expect our websites to be down for about 12 hours.  Please check back here to find the latest status.

Here are answers to the most common questions we have received:

Question: Will I need to do anything different after this upgrade?  Answer: No, nothing you do will change.

Question: Will this upgrade affect my Petfinder Sync application?  Answer: We're not aware of any reason why this upgrade would cause any issues with the Petfinder Sync app.  When you are able to access and login to the Manage website your Petfinder Sync app should also be working.

Question: Will my services be changing, and will I have to learn a new website/interface?  Answer: This upgrade is a backend system upgrade and doesn't change the features of any of our services.

Question: You mentioned that the Pet Adoption Portal website is changing.  Can you explain that further?  Answer:  The Portal service is NOT changing in any way.  However, we did update the public web pages that provide information about the Portal service.  Depending on the bookmark you use, you may see our RescueGroups.org website... and you simple need to click the "Access my Portal Account" link to login to the Portal.  The way you manage your Portal account is NOT changing.
